Organized by POPULAR Book Company Malaysia and co-organized by Sin Chew Media Corporation and MCA Life Long Learning Secretariat, BookFest@Malaysia is an annual mega event that has grown to be one of the region's largest international book fairs, since its inception in 2006. It is widely recognized as Malaysia's largest book exhibition and it will be held every year for 9-days duration at the KLCC Convention Center, with a total exhibition area of over 125,000 square feet. Hundreds of publishing houses, book and stationery distributors from countries all over the Asia region will be displaying their latest products in the 500 booths set up in 5 exhibition halls. Lots of bargains and special rebates on books, multi-media products, music CDs, stationery and gift items are also up for grabs at this mega exhibition.

1. BookFest Part-timer

Work Place: Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC)

The job:
- To perform housekeeping and ensure cleanliness and tidiness of work area
- To maintain attractive merchandise display at all times
- To provide good customer service by means of attending to customer's needs and extend assistance whenever required

Our requirements:
- Minimum PMR qualification
- Minimum 16 years old and above
- Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia and/or Chinese
- Applicants must be willing to work in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC)
- Must be able to work full period on BookFest period (24 August 2011 to 5 September 2011)
- Working hour: 10 am to 10 pm

1. Management Trainee (Admin & Purchasing)

Work Palce: Selangor

Responsibilities:
- Liaise with relevant personnel to ensure all sales related issues are solved in an effective and timely manner.
- Assist teammates to achieve the objective , execute plan in workplace and to ensure the strategies are implemented effectively
- Responsible to prepare and update reports as assigned.
- Assist in preparing and complying reports for management meeting.
- Monitor inventory level and highlight critical issues.
- Any other duty as and when assigned by superior.
- You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the management of various functions such as sales, marketing, finance, warehouse and merchandising.

Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Primary/Secondary School/SPM/"O" Level, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
- At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Required skill(s): Accounting Software, MS Office.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
- Applicants must be willing to work in Puchong.
- Able to manage deadlines well, meticulous and with good working ethics.
- Pleasant personality, positive attitude and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
